So, the groundhog is still MIA; however, Phil Jr. made an appearance today. He was scurrying around the neighbor's yard, just where we like him.
We are pleased to announce a new poll. Basil trounced oregano. Next up, Parsley v. Thyme.
We are also pleased to announce the harvest of something other than a leafy green.
One miniature purple bell, one jalapeno and one yellow cherry tomato. I see a GrowDammit side salad with tomorrow's lunch! We are going to have tomatoes coming our of our ears.

Sunflowers are so cheerful. These aren't homegrown, but we have some coming along nicely.
Next...Will we ever have a day this summer that isn't mostly cloudy?

Once a migraine starts to kick in, Jill..... There's nothing I can do; I've seen one in action on Chele and it wasn't pretty. You hear all the time..."Oh... I have a migraine." "I have a migraine." Lemme tell ya.... If you're able to talk.... (You don't have a migraine.)
ReplyDeleteWe do indeed need to hang out one night. We never go out. Our "Date night" is going to Wegmans and throwing back a growler; (Pretty sexy shit... I know) But it's what we do. You and Chele figure something out and we'll do some cookin'.
So.... This fucking hummingbird is about to piss me off. I've been trying to snap a picture of his little ass for about two weeks now but to no avail; Either the camera isn't around or Rufus Dragon chases it off....or somethin'. So last night while having cocktails on the deck... Rufus is lying around half asleep and the little fucker was buzzing around his head... I mean... It was thisclose. I had the camera RIGHT THERE but couldn't get to it in time. Shit.... Thwarted once again. Maybe today will be my lucky day.
So I'm in the home stretch in the lair. Hopefully by this weekend I'll be done with it. My A.D.D. kicks in and while I'm balls deep in the cleaning mode...I'll see a National Geographic and start reading it (Stupid shit like that) is the main reason why I haven't finished it yet. I DO have the speaker system hooked up though... I run it to the computer that we keep in the lair and I listen to the BBC World service all day. That's how I keep up with the goings on in the world. I don't listen to the American mainstream media.... You really can't get a straight answer on anything; You only hear what they want you to hear. The BBC gives you the straight dope. Good... Bad... and indifferent.
