It would seem that even though we haven't harvested anything from the garden, the cutworms have been helping themselves to all of the leafy green goodness. We will not take this lying down.
Rufus vs. the Flamingoes. We did some redecorating and put them in the garden as name stakes. I guess he thought they must've moved themselves and went nuts barking at them. Only the offer of treats could tear him away.

Next...We'll break out the DDT if we have to cutworms. You've been warned. The Dragon's bath has been put on hold until tomorrow night because Friday he is going to the Spa for the weekend.
P.S. I like both sweet and spicy peppers too, but I like one just a smidge more than the other. So vote.
Fuckin' cutworms! You make no doubt about it.... I WILL bust out some poison on their ass. What a pain in the neck! It seems to me that they don't care for lettuce which doesn't surprise me because to be quite honest... I'd rather go for some brussel sprouts as opposed to lettuce, any day! Let's see what the red beer cups can do for us. (Thanks for the tip Steve.)
ReplyDeleteSo I'm still working on that monster pile of mulch across the street! I MAY be 1/2 way through it. I hate to sound like a broken record but.... 10 Sq. yards of mulch is a SHIT TON of mulch. At least the weather is nice (So far) but that's fuckin' subject to change day to day. The neighbor's eldest son is helping me so it's not all bad; Gives me someone to talk to. He ordered this super BAD ASS remote controlled car the other day that runs on super octane fuel... We're both pretty stoked for it to show up. He paid 50 bucks for two day delivery and today is day two! We'll see how much work gets done once this thing shows up.
Pretty funny stuff... Rufus has been looking at those damn flamingos for about a month now with no problem; Once they were all moved around? He flipped his SHIT! I've never been a dog person but I've got to fess up.... Rufus Dragon is one cool ass dog.
I'm putting out an A.P.B. for our missing piece of garden art. If anyone sees a wire frog wind chime, please let us know. (Farmer Chele wants some fuckin' answers.)
